Gwen is probably the most vocal, chirpiest cat I've ever known, and my favourite (of course...).
So, what's her story? Well, I guess it begins with another cat of our's, this one rescued, named Indi. She was found aged approx. five weeks old, abandoned underneath a bush one Autumn night. Not the best atmosphere for a litter of kittens (there was one other with her, now owned by our neighbour). Anyway, after spending a few months with a couple who should never be allowed to keep animals again, Indi came to us, flea ridden and half wild.
Long story short, Indi recovered, and went on to have her own litter of kittens: two boys and a girl. My advice is that every cat lover should get to experience a litters' birth; it's the sweetest thing ever. Out of that litter came Gwen, who's still with us now.
I guess I'm so attatched to her because right from the start she was the runt, the one her mother couldn't feed, the one I hand fed milk when her mother was ill.
So, out of a story involving two abandoned half-wild kittens comes that of Gwen
. It's not all so bad.

The kittens aged about two weeks old: Gwen is the middle one, as usual flanked by her two older brothers (named Arthur and TC).
